- What's the difference between 1300 and 1800?
- 1300 numbers split the cost: callers pay a local-call rate, you pay the rest. 1800 numbers are completely free for the caller — you pay the full cost. 1800 sends a stronger "we want to hear from you" signal; 1300 is the cheaper option for inbound enquiries.
- Can I keep my existing 1300/1800 number?
- Yes — port it across. We submit the request to ACMA and the losing carrier; numbers usually move in 5–10 business days. There's no porting fee from our side.
- How are call charges billed?
- Inbound minutes are rated nightly and added to your monthly invoice (same Stripe billing as your NBN and voice services). You can see live call counts and estimated charges from the customer portal at any time.
- Can I route calls based on caller location?
- Yes — Smart and Enterprise plans support geographic routing by the caller's area code or postcode. Common pattern: NSW callers ring Sydney office, VIC callers ring Melbourne office, everyone else lands on a national mobile.
- Can I record calls?
- Yes, on Smart and Enterprise plans, opt-in per number. Call recording in Australia is legal with all-party consent — we play an announcement to callers before recording starts, so you're compliant by default.
- What if I just need a number with no routing?
- The Starter plan covers exactly that — one number, one answer point, voicemail. $9.95/mo + per-minute charges.
